"Love" & "Rome" - Brooch with Palindrome Discovered on Isle of Wight

Read left to right the monogram means "Roma" the name of Rome and its deity. Read right to left it means "Amor" the Latin name for Cupid the god of love. It has additional meaning if you attach a second brooch with another monogram beside it.
