An apology

Hi all, recently there have been a lot of complaints about the pop-ups that appear on the Live Science site before you get to the story. I want to let you all know that I apologize for this, I've forwarded the concerns onto Live Science and (hopefully) the pop-ups will dissapear soon. In the meantime I'm only going to link to the syndicated version of my stories.

Sword raised in victory – Female gladiator statuette identified

A scholar has identified a small bronze statue in a museum in Hamburg as being that of a female gladiator. If this is correct the statue will be only the second depiction of a female gladiator known to exist.
