Ancient MMA fighter recruited soldiers for Roman army new inscription shows

A newly translated 1,800 year-old inscription tells of a pankration (a mixed martial art) champion who recruited soldiers for the Roman army. He was so successful that he was deified after his death.

18th-Century Bone Telescopes Discovered in Amsterdam

Five telescopes made out of cow bone have been discovered in Amsterdam. They date to the 18th century, the time of the enlightenment.
