A shipment of 125 'artifacts' weighing more than 43,000 lbs was shipped from Sri Lanka to Ripley's Believe it or Not in May 2019. Ripley's is not commenting on what the artifacts are. Sri Lanka has been recovering from a lengthy civil war that ended in 2009 and looting of archaeological sites has been an ongoing problem.
